Serves: 4

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken stock (hot)
  • 2 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp dried mint
  • ½ lemon (zest and juice optional)
  • 1 finely chopped medium onion
  • crushed garlic (1x clove)
  • pepper (to season)
  • grated cheese (cheddar/parmesan)
  • 25g butter
  • 250g arborio risotto rice
  • 75g frozen peas
  • 100g chopped ham (or bacon)

Steps to Follow

Step 1: Melt butter in large pan over a medium heat.

Step 2:  Add onion and let them soften for 2 minutes.

Step 3: Add garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 4: Add rice and fry with garlic and onion for further 1 minute.

Step 5: Add 1/3 of hot stock to cover rice and cook, stirring constantly, until liquid has absorbed.

Step 6: Repeat with remaining stock.

Step 7: Add peas, ham (or cooked bacon), seasoning and herbs and cook for another 3-5 minutes (until peas are cooked).

Step 8:  Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest and juice (optional)

Step 9: Ladle into dishes, top with grated cheese and serve with crusty bread – or bread without crust.

  • a handful of fresh basil
  • 8 – boneless and skinless chicken thighs
  • 8 – (thin) rashers of smoked streaky bacon
  • 1- tablespoon sunflower oil or vegetable oil
  • 2 – sliced leeks,
  • 200ml- chicken stock
  • 200g- frozen garden pea

Steps to Follow

Step 1: For chicken bacon wrap first of all season the chicken with black pepper, set one basil leaf on top of each slice.

After that wrap tightly with a rasher of bacon – tuck the bacon into itself to stop it from unfolding.

Step 2:  Heat the oil in a large deep frying pan – brown the wrapped thighs from all sides and be careful to keep them wrapped up tightly as much as possible.

Step 3: Set the chicken to one side and cut leeks thickly at an angle.

Step 4:  Now, Add the leeks to the pan and soften in the bacon juices just for 5 minutes.

Step 5: Return the chicken slices, basil-side up, pour in the stock, then cover the pan until the chicken is tender-crisp.

Step 6: half a handful of basil into the sauce, stir in the peas, then simmer for a few  minutes until the peas are tender

Step 7: Check the seasoning then scatter half a handful of basil over the dish.

Now your chicken bacon wrap is ready, serve happily with new potatoes or crusty bread.

Early Life  

The music sensation, Jasmine Sandlas was born ‎on February 1, 1990, in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.

When Jasmine was 13-year-old she migrated to California with her family, Sandlas started writing songs just at the age of 16.

The singer pursued her schooling and college from the US.

From a very young age Jasmine was aspired to become a singer, in the beginning, she was inspired by the Western Coast Music.

The veteran actress of Hindi Cinema Madhubala’s wax statue has been installed at the prestigious Madame Tussauds Museum New Delhi on Thursday.

The Madhubala’s figure was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds in the presence of late heroine’s younger sister Madhur Brij.

General Manager, Merlin Entertainments India Pvt Ltd, Anshul Jain said that the feel Joyce while unveiling Madhubala’s Wax Statue in Delhi.

Anshul Jain said, “Madame Tussauds is known for bringing together the much-idolized icons around the world for their various contributions on a single platform, offering their followers a platform to admire and capture exceptional artwork. Madhubala is unarguably one of the most beautiful women the world has seen and her aura remains among her fans even today.”

Several artists worked on the completion of the wax statue with fabrics and accessories sourced from India and further beautifully shape given to the statue by artists overseas which took more than six months to create the figure of the actress.

While looking at the statue, Madhur Brij said that she felt like “apa” is standing (Brij used to call her sister ‘apa’).
