Madhubala’s Wax Statue unveiled at Madame Tussauds in New Delhi

The veteran actress of Hindi Cinema Madhubala’s wax statue has been installed at the prestigious Madame Tussauds Museum New Delhi on Thursday.

The Madhubala’s figure was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds in the presence of late heroine’s younger sister Madhur Brij.

General Manager, Merlin Entertainments India Pvt Ltd, Anshul Jain said that the feel Joyce while unveiling Madhubala’s Wax Statue in Delhi.

Anshul Jain said, “Madame Tussauds is known for bringing together the much-idolized icons around the world for their various contributions on a single platform, offering their followers a platform to admire and capture exceptional artwork. Madhubala is unarguably one of the most beautiful women the world has seen and her aura remains among her fans even today.”

The elegant statue decorated in red wax statue will join others prominent personalities of Bollywood cinema such as actors Shah Rukh KhanAmitabh Bachchan and along with melodious singers like Shreya Ghoshal.

The statue was created by specialist artists, as per Petra, lots of research work involved, for example, meeting the family members of actress and deep study of her pictures and videos of the celebrity. There were many artists who worked for over six months to create the figure of the actress with fabrics and accessories sourced from India and put up beautifully by artists abroad.

Several artists worked on the completion of the wax statue with fabrics and accessories sourced from India and further beautifully shape given to the statue by artists overseas which took more than six months to create the figure of the actress.

While looking at the statue, Madhur Brij said that she felt like “apa” is standing (Brij used to call her sister ‘apa’).
